Ken Shelton – Empowering Leadership: How and Why We Must Look Within Ourselves to Empower Others

We are all leaders in a myriad of capacities. It’s not always the title or position so much as it is our actions both individually and collectively. One of the most significant indicators of a leader’s or a team’s success cannot be measured numerically. This indicator is the culture of the environment they are learning and working within. The goal should be to ensure that growth is ongoing and continuous. Part of this process is for us to examine our habits of mind, learning opportunities, and cultural norms. This highly interactive workshop will examine strategies and practices that support not only becoming an empowering leader but also how to ensure that growth is sustainable.

The event begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 12:00 PM.

Virginia Continental Breakfast, served from 8:00-9:00 AM includes freshly baked breakfast pastries, danish, and muffins, accompanied by freshly brewed coffee, decaffeinated coffee, herbal teas, and assorted fruit juices.
